[It's an ordinary evening. Christmas and New Year's both came and went, the festivities are over, and there hasn't been a proper "game" in several months, which gives Hiyori time to think about various things.
[ Time seems to fly by when you're stuck in a sex casino. At the moment, Jun is moving around his exercise equipment, giving them a much-needed cleaning.
He tucks the equipment back into their case, turning toward Hiyori with a confused look. Hiyori should know he wasn't the "slumber party" type.
... unless the phrase has some other meaning he's not aware of. ]
Slumber parties? Never had one before.
[ Have they ever spoken about slumber parties before? He can't recall a time where they ever have... especially when the few times they could have back home, Kohaku went off to a capsule hotel. (Except this isn't your typical one.) ]
Why're you suddenly talking 'bout slumber parties, Ohii-san? D'you wanna have one?
[... yep. Given what sort of childhood Jun had, it's no surprise he didn't have sleepovers! Though as Hiyori admits:]
I never had any, either. Those don't seem all that common in noble households. Unless you count the nights I spent with Nagisa-kun while he lived under our roof—then every night was a slumber party! ♪
[He smiles. Ah, memories.]
But to answer your question, I was chatting with one of our mutual friends, and he said he'd like one. A slumber party with both of us! Or rather, with Eve! So, I thought I'd get your opinion on that idea.
[He takes care to say all of this casually. Though he's definitely leaving out some context...]
[ His father allowing sleep overs would have never happened, and now he's grown, it's something he's almost thankful for. Hearing the admittance to that strikes something in Jun, remembering Nagisa also hadn't ever had pillow fights, either. Given he knows about the past between them, it still surprised Jun to learn. ]
Seriously, Ohii-san? Well, I'm kinda surprised 'bout you and Nagi-senpai... And the stuff we do every night is sorta like a slumber party.
[ Besides the activities Eve gets up to are unlike almost anything others would ever experience in their lifetime. Figuratively and literally. ]
Huh, both of us? Could be anyone, Ohii-san, so you're not really narrowing down the pool. But gimme a sec to think!
[ His thoughts drift towards their group of mutual friends, with Topaz and Leona first coming to mind. He's not completely sold on it, but something does stick out while Jun mulls over the thought. He and Leona have had some out-there conversations. And while stuck together due to their string, Jun mentioned something that seemed to imply that if he were interested in Leona, he'd say something similar before dismissing it as improv.
But if you asked him, he'd say it was all an attempt to be free from his string with Leona. ]
I mean, like, whatever we're singing 'bout in "Trap for You"? Y'know... [ It is a valid question, he muses while singing the song's lyrics. "Oh, Trap for you, remember this trap was made just for you. There's no going back now, so let's dance in this passionate dream." ] Depends if we're on the same page. But I'm thinkin' we usually are~!
[ The whole "two bodies, one soul" idea. (Or whatever Jun tends to thinks it is before Hiyori corrects him.) ]
[Hiyori glances at him in surprise, cheeks coloring a bit. The stuff they do every night? That stuff?! ... oh, he just means sharing a bed together. Of course. ... Ahem.]
I'd say that's more like "living together." But I guess Nagisa-kun and I were also living together, so if that counts...
[Of course, the relationship he had with Nagisa as children is absolutely nothing like the one he currently shares with Jun. But that goes without saying.
What doesn't go without saying is what kind of "slumber party" he's talking about. Back home, there'd be no reason to wonder. They were idols, after all, and Jun even had a totally innocent sleepover on TV once. But in this place, "sleeping over" with someone has a very different connotation. Jun is right to ask which kind he's talking about. And the answer to that is...
Well, actually, Jun seems to work out the answer for himself. Hiyori blinks at that, surprised all over again; he didn't expect Jun to catch on so fast, or for him to start singing! But isn't it a relief that they're on the same page (almost)? Hiyori pauses for a second, then nods.]
Jun-kun's catching on quicker these days. Good job! ♪
[A bit of praise for him!
But after a moment, he adds:]
I don't know for sure if that's what he had in mind, but it's sort of the vibe I've gotten from him. Not just towards me, but also towards you. In fact, I'm pretty sure you're his favorite. ... Leona-kun's, that is.
It's still pretty cute when you get all embarrassed, Ohii-san ♪
[ Well, that is also what he means. It's an open-ended innuendo! But part of him supposes sharing a bed is something close to a slumber party. ]
I'd say it counts. But each to their own.
[ Ultimetly Hiyori's right; besides, Ibara would have skinned them alive if any of the CosPro idols had that sort of "sleepover."
He grins at the praise, feeling proud of himself for catching on. It had been difficult to weave through different meanings and insinuations enough to understand them.
But the mere mention of Leona prompts Jun to consider this even more. He blinks, confusion littering his face as he turns away. Only a second later does Jun turn back to Hiyori, shifting sideways on the couch to better see him. ]
Huh~? Whaddya mean "Leona's favourite"? You've gotta be making it all up, Ohii-san, 'cause I'm not anyone's "favourite." [ Obviously addressing the most important point. ] But I mean, I'm not a complete idiot... I'm still doubting being Leona's "favourite," just 'cause it doesn't sound right.
[ What did he even do to become Leona's favourite? Asking the hard-hitting questions. ]
Pretty curious 'bout what kinda "vibe" you've gotten on him, though. 'Cause guess part of me noticed something, 'specially during the String mess.
[He sucks in a cheek, pouting a bit at Jun's teasing. Jun-kun is so cheeky these days. But he isn't truly mad, as being called "cute" isn't bad at all. He is cute, and so is Jun. They both have plenty of appeal, which is why it's almost a little sad that Jun can't seem to see it.]
You know you had fans at home too, right? I'm sure at least some of our fans would name you as their "favorite." Just as many of our them love me best, while others favor Nagisa-kun! And Ibara might have some fans, too, I guess.
[He guesses.
But that's idol talk. This is something different; they've never had a sleepover with fans. That's just a fantasy confined to song lyrics and fans' daydreams. Still, calling Leona a "fan" isn't wrong. He remembers talking to him about Jun, back when he woke up in Leona's bathtub (long story). Leona said he was a fan, and Jun deserves to know it! Sorry, but Hiyori's about to tattle on him!]
As for Leona-kun, though, there's no mystery. Because he said—
[Ah, but wait.
He blinks at Jun as those last words sink in. Jun got a "vibe" off him already? During the "String mess"?]
... you mean the Hearts game? What happened there, exactly?
[His tone is inquisitive, not suspicious. He isn't worried about "cheating" or anything! ... but he is quite curious.]
[ Normally, the old him would never have commented on Hiyori's behaviour, but times have changed. Now he enjoys it whenever Hiyori acts this way.
As for the fan comments, Jun nods, acknowledging that Hiyori is right. There's something a little different about when someone who isn't a fan takes an interest. It's not quite the same as dealing with "normal" fans. He can't quite put his finger on how it's different, but the distinction is clear enough to him to warrant the feeling. ]
'Course I know that! But I'm just thinkin' it's different 'cause Leona's different. [ With him not exactly being a "real" fan. ] Pretty sure being someone's favourite is more your thing, Ohii-san.
[ Which isn't a bad thing, it's just not Jun's thing. Despite how many times Hiyori's mentioned for Jun to work harder. Knowing a sleepover with fans was out of the question. Ibara would fry them alive! After all, it is far easier to sing songs about intimacy than to have a conversation about them. Case in point!
Right.. Jun never mentioned what had happened. He clears his throat, knowing he has no reason to feel guilty considering nothing happened between them. ]
Yeah, the Hearts game. [ He finally confirms. ] Well, I was sorta part of the problem. We were tryna get the string off, yeah~? Thought adding some lame romantic lines mighta done the trick, but my bright idea made me take it a lil' too far.
[ He shrugs before continuing. ]
But the string gave me an idea on how I'd confess to someone else... not that I'd wanna confess to someone else. [ Jun quickly adds, knowing confessing to Hiyori had been difficult enough to get out. ] Lemme think! What'd he say again? Something 'bout wanting to somehow bring me back home and understanding why guys like us are popular.
[ He rushes through the last part, thankful Hiyori sounded more inquisitive than anything else. ] Think he meant idols, though.
True, I do like being loved! But who among us doesn't?
[It's the goal of every idol to find fans who love them. Even if they're happy to see their unitmates succeed, and even if they double as a producer like Ibara does or a composer like Leo, they probably still crave having fans who consider them a "favorite."]
And whenever you gain fans, it makes me feel pleased as the senior who raised you. Which is what you'd call a happiness circle~♪
[Happiness, not jealousy. He sincerely wants Jun to be recognized.
Though that's a little different from wanting Jun to be loved "that" way. Jun looks and sounds a tad awkward as he explains what occurred between himself and Leona during the Hearts game, which apparently involved them "reciting romantic lines" to each other. Jun doesn't reveal what romantic lines he recited, but Leona's apparently involved him understanding why Jun was popular, and... wanting to take Jun home with him? Why, Hiyori never! It raises his hackles right up!
... or at least it would normally. But for some reason, he finds that it doesn't this time. Maybe Jun's abashed demeanor has something to do with it. Or maybe it's because he understands the Hearts game was just a game. He himself had to act out a romantic scene to get rid of one of his strings. He doesn't honestly believe Leona would snatch Jun away to his world, so he knows there's nothing to be anxious about. Although... just because Leona had to act interested in Jun to get the string off doesn't mean his interest was completely false, does it?
But first thing's first.]
So it was like that, was it?
[He smiles, trying to be reassuring. He's not upset or jealous, and he doesn't want Jun to be nervous.]
I probably already mentioned, but I had to do something similar with Hilda-chan. We made up two characters and acted out a scene together, complete with costumes, to get rid of our string. It was basically an acting challenge.
[A very silly one. It was a "love scene" so exaggerated Jun has no reason to feel jealous. Hiyori hardly knew Hilda at that point, and she definitely didn't have feelings for him. Probably wasn't particularly attracted to him, either. But with Leona, well...
Hiyori thinks back to that conversation in Leona's bathroom again. Thinks back to their texting conversations, too. And he decides, yep—it's time to rat Leona out!]
But as for Leona-kun being your fan, I know that's true, since he said so himself. He said, "You could say I'm a fan." And then he also said, "He's got a lot of potential." Which makes sense, I suppose, since lions and hyenas have some things in common. They're both carnivores, and they both roam the savannah! ♪
[He smiles like he's proud of himself for making this absurd comparison. And then he adds, casually:]
But he's said some stuff about me, too. Like that I look good, and that he wants to cuddle me. Which is exactly why I thought he might enjoy a sleepover with both of us.
[ He figures it is a goal amongst idols to be liked, or at the very least, adored by the masses. He'll readily agree, if only to avoid another lecture from Hiyori, though he can acknowledge his partner makes a valid point. Not that he'd describe it as a "happiness circle."
Jun gives an inquisitive look before shrugging off the thought. Oddly, Hiyori seems understanding of Jun's sudden "confession," a stark contrast to how he'd normally reprimand him for spending time with others. He'd be lying if the sudden shift in Hiyori's behaviour had him feeling better. It's odd, sure, but it's more surprising than anything else. ]
You feeling alright, Ohii-san? And yep, just like that.
[ He questions cautiously, seeking valid reassurance. There's a slight easing of Jun's nerves reflected in the brief smile he offers Hiyori. ]
Mhm, think you told me 'bout it. But good thing I'm not the jealous type~!
[ Though Jun's memory of them talking is hazy, there's not much to be jealous of. Nowadays, nothing can! Especially not some random person who doesn't know a thing about his partner!!! (Or, how to care for him.) Hilda's warm and friendly, and he's aware of this. So there! ]
Geez, d'ya really need to bring up the hyena thing again? I was following 'til ya just went on 'bout it! And aren't you kinda telling on him, Ohii-san~? Maybe Leona's the sorta guy who doesn't want anyone to know. Some guys wanna keep their secrets secret, y'know?
[ There's an excitement he feels to learn that Hiyori and Leona happened to be discussing him in secret. The thought of Leona sharing similar sentiments about Hiyori only heightens the excitement, he's never experienced this sudden feeling before. Not on stage, and most definitely not as of late. He tries to conceal his smile, not wanting to seem too eager. ]
What else has Leona said 'bout you, Ohii-san? [ Listen, he's curious. ] 'Sides, anyone with eyes can tell ya look good. Happy Leona sees it, too.
[ Leona is undoubtedly the best choice among all their friends, barring Leo, he supposes. Jun's fully aware of this, even if he's uncertain about proceeding further. ]
So you really wanna do this, huh? Invite Leona into our world~?
Whyever wouldn't I be? I know what that string game required.
[He says matter-of-factly, like he's always been perfectly reasonable about this stuff.
... even though he knows he hasn't been.
In the beginning, he was intensely jealous. He was territorial, possessive, and—though he's reluctant to admit it—he was insecure, too. He'd been worried Jun would get snatched away under his nose; worried Jun would find someone who's more special to him, more lovable, less exhausting and less "difficult." As a result of those fears, he pulled out all the stops to keep Jun to himself: telling him they mustn't participate in Game 52, insisting on holing up together during the Springtime game... not to mention the way he treated Monika.
Faced with a girl who transparently wanted to sleep with Jun, Hiyori behaved badly. He was rude to her, he insulted her repeatedly, and he used underhanded tactics to try and push her away from Jun. Stuff like inviting other people to her "private lesson" with Jun, and trying to hook her up with Leo. In retrospect, he feels bad about the things he said to her, harsh words borne from fear and jealousy. She could be rather rude herself, but she was just an insecure girl looking for love. Someone who'd apparently been alone most of her life. But now she's gone: turned into a statue, presumably, her dream of finding love destroyed. At least for now, but possibly forever. He should've been kind to her, but he wasn't; he was too fearful of Jun being snatched away.
So what exactly changed? Why doesn't the same fear still grip his heart? He used to be afraid they'd end up like Steve and Victoria; where has that fear gone?
It's not that he's any more amenable to Jun being "stolen." If Jun forgot all about their love or announced that he was leaving him for someone else, he'd be devastated. If Jun didn't return one night, and then it turned out he was warming someone else's bed, Hiyori would be upset. But those aren't things he worries much about, despite the resort being the resort. And the reason for that is because...
Well. Because he trusts Jun. Doesn't he?
He trusts Jun meant it when he said he wanted to be together. He trusts that Jun was serious about their "vows," that his love for him is real. This whole time, Jun's been faithful, after all. Despite all the temptations surrounding him, he hasn't taken advantage of them. They had their resort marriage during the Strings game, and thanks to Hua Cheng, they're bound by the "red string of fate." Hiyori didn't have to force any of that: Jun made those vows and wrapped that string around his finger willingly. Which means what, exactly?
That for just one night, it shouldn't be a problem if they invite someone else into their world. Should it?
Maybe he's not 100% positive. It would be one thing if Leona just watched, but could he accept seeing someone else put their hands on Jun's body? It's a tough one to be sure! But he's also not sure yet if that's what Jun would want, so for the time being, they can continue talking about it!]
If he wanted to keep it a secret, he should've been more subtle about it. Nothing gets by me! ♪
[He says with a smile. But underneath that smile, he's watching Jun closely. Rather than seeming jealous or uncertain, Jun looks intrigued to hear more. More about Leona finding him appealing. And that's, well... that's something of a surprise. Maybe he really was serious about not being the jealous type? Maybe it's just been Hiyori all along? Or, maybe, just maybe, this is different: when it's someone they both know, who wants both of them rather than just one.]
Well, other than saying I look good, you know how I offered to show him my "Aura" thing, right? I did that by cuddling him on our couch briefly. He agreed to it, but he sort of threw me off when he said "I want you." Imagine hearing that from a man out of nowhere. But it turned out he was saying, "I want to cuddle you!"
[He thinks back on thosetwo convos, shaking his head to himself with a wry smile as he remembers all the freaking out he did internally. He jumped to a lot of conclusions!
All the same, were those conclusions really wrong? He looks at Jun somewhat cautiously after hearing that last question, wanting to know his thoughts, determined not to jump to conclusions this time.]
But I do think he would enjoy more than that, whether it's a "private show" or something else. So I guess it depends on what we'd like to do for him. We could invite him into our world as an audience member and show him a lovely dream, if that's alright with you. But as for "audience participation," well... I guess that depends on how we feel about it in the moment.
[ Jun had always feared someone else becoming more important to Hiyori or Hiyori finding worth in someone new. Dealing with these feelings of jealousy hadn't been easy, but he had tried to be as transparent as possible when they first talked after Hiyori's nightmare. Jealousy was something Jun struggled with, as he was always afraid it would show in the ugliest of ways, just as it had during Wonder Game.
However, they now had the most important thing in their relationship: trust. Perhaps Jun knew no one would attend to Hiyori's needs the way he did, which provided added reassurance that Hiyori would never look elsewhere. At first with Monika, it had been difficult, as Jun hadn't truly understood what she wanted from him. The naivety certainly was something until he finally realised the truth. Had Jun felt awful for the way he treated her? Sure he did. After coming clean about his and Hiyori's relationship, it wasn't the prettiest of sights.
But there was no risk of someone stealing Jun away now. He was far too loyal and loving, with Hiyori constantly on his mind, even if he didn't always outwardly express it.
But Leona's interest in both of them seems rather tempting. In Jun's eyes, it has to be both of them or nothing. ]
Well, I'd say you're pretty bad at keeping secrets.
[ Secrets which hardly matter in the scheme of things. ]
Still don't know how your "Aura" thing works, but sayin' one thing and meaning another sounds pretty messed up. Can't say you want someone and then say you wanna cuddle 'em instead! That sorta thing might give someone the wrong idea, y'know~?
[ Jun's words seem to come from a place of experience. When he came "clean" and expressed his desire for Hiyori that day, it was a place of genuine want. (With special thanks to his suit.} He's teasing Leona a touch, showing Hiyori a small, sly smile. ]
So you think he'd want a "private show"? Well, guess we gotta talk 'bout it now! What were you thinking 'bout doing for him, Ohii-san? I'm askin' cause we gotta be 100% sure we're on the same page. D'ya want him to join, or do ya wanna test the waters first? I'm kinda worried it'll be a lil' awkward talking 'bout it when Leona's with us. But I'm pretty game to see where it'll go, Ohii-san.
[ Though Jun's surprisingly open to it, he'd only go along if it made Hiyori happy, too. There's little cause for concern, as Leona could never sever Eve's unbreakable bond. But on the other hand, Leona may be the sole person with whom Jun feels comfortable enough to "perform" at his best.
Besides, Leona would never spread malicious rumours about Eve to the public. Jun's almost certain of that. And if strange gossip were somehow to surface? They could vehemently deny said gossip with ease. ]
[He thinks about that for a second. Has he lied to Jun or kept anything from him recently? There might be things they haven't talked much about, but he doesn't feel like he has true "secrets."]
It might just be that you've gotten better at reading me. I know we were already "two souls in one" back home, but I do think living together in such close quarters for such a long time has brought us even closer. Not to mention all our other intimacies.
[In truth, he hasn't always been forthcoming. He didn't tell Jun what the wing on his suit tattoo symbolized. Because, well, he didn't want to tell him. Didn't tell him what he heard from Jin Mingming, either, until it gave him a nightmare and he woke up clinging to Jun and crying. After that, he did confess what he was worried about, and they had their first conversation about potentially bringing other people into their sex life: a discussion that led them to the one they're having now.
It's been a long and difficult road towards that kind of honesty. But he can at least say there's nothing he's keeping from Jun on purpose nowadays. He wants them to be on the same page—not just as lovers or as unitmates, but as partners. It's important to talk things out properly, which is why it's a good thing they're doing so right now! Although...
It is a tad embarrassing. To talk honestly about what they should do in front of Leona. He's thought about it a bit already, but his cheeks color a smidgen as he thinks about it some more now. He's the one who brought it up, though, so.]
If Jun-kun is "game," then I'm game, too! ♪
[He chirps the words back easily.]
... but as for what we should do together, and whether he should join, well... [Pause.] If we want to make his dreams come true, then it might make sense to ask what he wants to see. Though as you said, that may be a bit awkward. It's possible he'll be utterly speechless, in which case we'll have to decide ourselves! So, well...
[He taps his chin as he thinks. The job of an idol is to answer their fans' expectations. This isn't idol work, but it is a show, and Leona is a self-admitted fan of Jun. So if they could just figure out Leona's desires...]
This is just a guess, but since he likes your drive and your "potential," maybe he wants to see you take charge? And he is a lion, so maybe he'd be interested in seeing your "animal" side. Like the way you use your teeth, or that fierce gleam you get in your eyes sometimes.
[His cheeks color further. Yep, he's still not great at talking about sex in explicit detail. But he's trying!]
As for me, I guess I could try to play up my "cute" side. And then, well... after we've made each other feel good, we could help him out if he's gotten excited from it. And just as a special reward, I might be willing to let him touch you, since he's such a big fan. But only if that's what Jun-kun also wants.
[He says this in the tone of someone who's generously offering to lend someone an expensive heirloom.]
[ He sounds surprised and a little taken aback, with his cheeks reddening, as if realising how attuned he's become to reading Hiyori these days. It's a keen reminder of their dynamic, a sense of always being "in sync," which now feels even more pronounced. Maybe he has, in his way, become someone who cares without realising it. It gives Jun much to think about. ]
Gotten better at reading you, huh~? What I'd say is sometimes it's pretty easy, Ohii-san. [ Well, lately. ] But let's work on us staying close, alright~? Even if you wanna call it something like that.
[ It's far too fancy of a word for Jun's liking, but this gives him a chance to tease Hiyori anyway. He half-scrunches his nose after, continuing to admire how embarrassed Hiyori sounds. Besides, it helps to talk about being intimate together, especially when another person comes into their world. Slowly, Jun nods, acknowledging he's "game," and swallowing down his embarrassment. ]
Not to brag or anythin', but being in Leona's shoes, I'd wanna give it everything I've got. [ Even if they've already decided asking is awkward. ] 'Sides, I really like it when you tell me what you want, Ohii-san. You think he's the type to be left "speechless"? I dunno...
[ Leona's a tough egg to crack, he thinks. But Hiyori let slip he's already a fan.. So, how to go about this? He's almost certain Leona would never tell Jun himself, and he certainly isn't sure of Leona's wants or his desires. ]
Well, it sounds like a pretty good guess! If what you said is true, Ohii-san, 'bout him bein' a fan... Should I keep doin' what I usually do? Or is that you tellin' me what you want, too~?
[ Unable to resist the urge, he teases again, watching the colour of Hiyori's cheeks bloom. To begin with, Jun doesn't think that how he "performs" is entirely deliberate. The impulse to mark and claim Hiyori as his own is something he wants. So, maybe it is deliberate, the more he mulls it over. In reality, it's because of Hiyori, because Jun wants him to feel good. ]
Normally I'd be real annoyed hearing 'bout my "animal side." But if you're tryna say Leona's gonna be into that sorta vibe, I guess. But lions can be pretty dominant, y'know?! And he's a real prince, isn't he? So, I bet he'd take us over pretty quickly.
[ If he's "gotten excited from it," as Hiyori so eloquently worded it. ]
You really don't have to try so hard, Ohii-san... Your cute side just kinda shines through without meaning to. But hey, if it makes you feel good, I'm all for keepin' it going~ But whaddya mean by sayin' it like that? I only want that if you want it, too! I'm not gonna let anyone touch me if it's not gonna sit right with you. That's gotta be something we both agree on.
[ He sucks in a breath, knowing while Hiyori says something, it might mean something else entirely. But it's not that simple. No one else has touched him, not in the same way Hiyori does. Sure, he's gotten better about it, a lot better. It should be okay. Shouldn't it? ]
'Cause what if he wants to touch you too, huh? We gotta figure something out! We're not doin' this if it means Ohii-san's gonna be left out. So, I'd hafta let him touch you. It just makes sense!
[He nods, lips tugging upwards into a small smile.]
It makes sense, doesn't it? This little room is our "world of two," after all.
[In a way, it's sad how much their world has narrowed down. Without Nagisa, Ibara or their other friends, they've only had each other to rely on. But he smiles anyway, even through the sadness, because it is nice to feel like they've gotten closer to each other's hearts. Like they really are "two souls in one." There are no more secrets between them, and that includes his love for Jun: it's open and obvious, showing in the way he smiles warmly, his gaze hopelessly soft and affectionate.
Though his warm and fuzzy feelings don't stop him from teasing Jun as usual. They never do.]
Mhm. That's exactly right! Jun-kun already understands me a lot, but he can always work harder to understand me even more! ♪
[As though the work only needs to be done on Jun's side...
He doesn't say it, but he does want to understand Jun's feelings too. Understand them and accept them, even when they disagree. So, he's curious to know what Jun wants from all this, along with what he doesn't want. Whatever Jun says, he'll do his best to accommodate it, whether that means letting Leona touch Jun or keeping certain things off-limits.
But then he's not being very forthcoming about his own wants, is he? There's no need for secrecy. The person standing in front of him is Jun-kun: his partner through thick and thin, who won't ever abandon him. Even if he confessed to all his most embarrassing desires and fantasies, Jun-kun wouldn't reject him. Would he? No, of course he wouldn't. His selfishness, his exhausting tendencies, his possessive thoughts: Jun-kun knows about all those things and accepted him anyway.
He takes a breath and admits the truth.]
You're not wrong. I like seeing your wild side, too. It makes me feel proud as the one who "tamed" you. But I also like that there's a side of you that can't be tamed. And when Jun-kun leaves marks, well...

Alright. I've made a decision! Just for one night, I'm fine with Leona-kun putting his big, strong hands on us. Although I do want to make one thing clear: just because he's bigger than us, he's a prince, and he's a lion doesn't mean he can overtake us. [Hiyori glances at him in surprise, cheeks coloring a bit. The stuff they do every night? That stuff?! ... oh, he just means sharing a bed together. Of course. ... Ahem.]
I'd say that's more like "living together." But I guess Nagisa-kun and I were also living together, so if that counts...
[Of course, the relationship he had with Nagisa as children is absolutely nothing like the one he currently shares with Jun. But that goes without saying.
What doesn't go without saying is what kind of "slumber party" he's talking about. Back home, there'd be no reason to wonder. They were idols, after all, and Jun even had a totally innocent sleepover on TV once. But in this place, "sleeping over" with someone has a very different connotation. Jun is right to ask which kind he's talking about. And the answer to that is...
Well, actually, Jun seems to work out the answer for himself. Hiyori blinks at that, surprised all over again; he didn't expect Jun to catch on so fast, or for him to start singing! But isn't it a relief that they're on the same page (almost)? Hiyori pauses for a second, then nods.]

But the mere mention of Leona prompts Jun to consider this even more. He blinks, confusion littering his face as he turns away. Only a second later does Jun turn back to Hiyori, shifting sideways on the couch to better see him. ]

As for the fan comments, Jun nods, acknowledging that Hiyori is right. There's something a little different about when someone who isn't a fan takes an interest. It's not quite the same as dealing with "normal" fans. He can't quite put his finger on how it's different, but the distinction is clear enough to him to warrant the feeling. ]
'Course I know that! But I'm just thinkin' it's different 'cause Leona's different. [ With him not exactly being a "real" fan. ] Pretty sure being someone's favourite is more your thing, Ohii-san.

[ He rushes through the last part, thankful Hiyori sounded more inquisitive than anything else. ] Think he meant idols, though.

[It's the goal of every idol to find fans who love them. Even if they're happy to see their unitmates succeed, and even if they double as a producer like Ibara does or a composer like Leo, they probably still crave having fans who consider them a "favorite."]

Though that's a little different from wanting Jun to be loved "that" way. Jun looks and sounds a tad awkward as he explains what occurred between himself and Leona during the Hearts game, which apparently involved them "reciting romantic lines" to each other. Jun doesn't reveal what romantic lines he recited, but Leona's apparently involved him understanding why Jun was popular, and... wanting to take Jun home with him? Why, Hiyori never! It raises his hackles right up!
... or at least it would normally. But for some reason, he finds that it doesn't this time. Maybe Jun's abashed demeanor has something to do with it. Or maybe it's because he understands the Hearts game was just a game. He himself had to act out a romantic scene to get rid of one of his strings. He doesn't honestly believe Leona would snatch Jun away to his world, so he knows there's nothing to be anxious about. Although... just because Leona had to act interested in Jun to get the string off doesn't mean his interest was completely false, does it?
But first thing's first.]

[He smiles, trying to be reassuring. He's not upset or jealous, and he doesn't want Jun to be nervous.]
I probably already mentioned, but I had to do something similar with Hilda-chan. We made up two characters and acted out a scene together, complete with costumes, to get rid of our string. It was basically an acting challenge.
[A very silly one. It was a "love scene" so exaggerated Jun has no reason to feel jealous. Hiyori hardly knew Hilda at that point, and she definitely didn't have feelings for him. Probably wasn't particularly attracted to him, either. But with Leona, well...
Hiyori thinks back to that conversation in Leona's bathroom again. Thinks back to their texting conversations, too. And he decides, yep—it's time to rat Leona out!]
But as for Leona-kun being your fan, I know that's true, since he said so himself. He said, "You could say I'm a fan." And then he also said, "He's got a lot of potential." Which makes sense, I suppose, since lions and hyenas have some things in common. They're both carnivores, and they both roam the savannah! ♪
[He smiles like he's proud of himself for making this absurd comparison. And then he adds, casually:]

Oddly, Hiyori seems understanding of Jun's sudden "confession," a stark contrast to how he'd normally reprimand him for spending time with others. He'd be lying if the sudden shift in Hiyori's behaviour had him feeling better. It's odd, sure, but it's more surprising than anything else. ]

[ He questions cautiously, seeking valid reassurance. There's a slight easing of Jun's nerves reflected in the brief smile he offers Hiyori. ]

[ Though Jun's memory of them talking is hazy, there's not much to be jealous of. Nowadays, nothing can! Especially not some random person who doesn't know a thing about his partner!!! (Or, how to care for him.) Hilda's warm and friendly, and he's aware of this. So there! ]
Geez, d'ya really need to bring up the hyena thing again? I was following 'til ya just went on 'bout it! And aren't you kinda telling on him, Ohii-san~? Maybe Leona's the sorta guy who doesn't want anyone to know. Some guys wanna keep their secrets secret, y'know?
[ There's an excitement he feels to learn that Hiyori and Leona happened to be discussing him in secret. The thought of Leona sharing similar sentiments about Hiyori only heightens the excitement, he's never experienced this sudden feeling before. Not on stage, and most definitely not as of late. He tries to conceal his smile, not wanting to seem too eager. ]
What else has Leona said 'bout you, Ohii-san? [ Listen, he's curious. ] 'Sides, anyone with eyes can tell ya look good. Happy Leona sees it, too.
[ Leona is undoubtedly the best choice among all their friends, barring Leo, he supposes. Jun's fully aware of this, even if he's uncertain about proceeding further. ]

In the beginning, he was intensely jealous. He was territorial, possessive, and—though he's reluctant to admit it—he was insecure, too. He'd been worried Jun would get snatched away under his nose; worried Jun would find someone who's more special to him, more lovable, less exhausting and less "difficult." As a result of those fears, he pulled out all the stops to keep Jun to himself: telling him they mustn't participate in Game 52, insisting on holing up together during the Springtime game... not to mention the way he treated Monika.
Faced with a girl who transparently wanted to sleep with Jun, Hiyori behaved badly. He was rude to her, he insulted her repeatedly, and he used underhanded tactics to try and push her away from Jun. Stuff like inviting other people to her "private lesson" with Jun, and trying to hook her up with Leo. In retrospect, he feels bad about the things he said to her, harsh words borne from fear and jealousy. She could be rather rude herself, but she was just an insecure girl looking for love. Someone who'd apparently been alone most of her life. But now she's gone: turned into a statue, presumably, her dream of finding love destroyed. At least for now, but possibly forever. He should've been kind to her, but he wasn't; he was too fearful of Jun being snatched away.
So what exactly changed? Why doesn't the same fear still grip his heart? He used to be afraid they'd end up like Steve and Victoria; where has that fear gone?
It's not that he's any more amenable to Jun being "stolen." If Jun forgot all about their love or announced that he was leaving him for someone else, he'd be devastated. If Jun didn't return one night, and then it turned out he was warming someone else's bed, Hiyori would be upset. But those aren't things he worries much about, despite the resort being the resort. And the reason for that is because...
Well. Because he trusts Jun. Doesn't he?
He trusts Jun meant it when he said he wanted to be together. He trusts that Jun was serious about their "vows," that his love for him is real. This whole time, Jun's been faithful, after all. Despite all the temptations surrounding him, he hasn't taken advantage of them. They had their resort marriage during the Strings game, and thanks to Hua Cheng, they're bound by the "red string of fate." Hiyori didn't have to force any of that: Jun made those vows and wrapped that string around his finger willingly. Which means what, exactly?
That for just one night, it shouldn't be a problem if they invite someone else into their world. Should it?
Maybe he's not 100% positive. It would be one thing if Leona just watched, but could he accept seeing someone else put their hands on Jun's body? It's a tough one to be sure! But he's also not sure yet if that's what Jun would want, so for the time being, they can continue talking about it!]
If he wanted to keep it a secret, he should've been more subtle about it. Nothing gets by me! ♪
[He says with a smile. But underneath that smile, he's watching Jun closely. Rather than seeming jealous or uncertain, Jun looks intrigued to hear more. More about Leona finding him appealing. And that's, well... that's something of a surprise. Maybe he really was serious about not being the jealous type? Maybe it's just been Hiyori all along? Or, maybe, just maybe, this is different: when it's someone they both know, who wants both of them rather than just one.]
Well, other than saying I look good, you know how I offered to show him my "Aura" thing, right? I did that by cuddling him on our couch briefly. He agreed to it, but he sort of threw me off when he said "I want you." Imagine hearing that from a man out of nowhere. But it turned out he was saying, "I want to cuddle you!"
[He thinks back on those two convos, shaking his head to himself with a wry smile as he remembers all the freaking out he did internally. He jumped to a lot of conclusions!
All the same, were those conclusions really wrong? He looks at Jun somewhat cautiously after hearing that last question, wanting to know his thoughts, determined not to jump to conclusions this time.]
But I do think he would enjoy more than that, whether it's a "private show" or something else. So I guess it depends on what we'd like to do for him. We could invite him into our world as an audience member and show him a lovely dream, if that's alright with you. But as for "audience participation," well... I guess that depends on how we feel about it in the moment.

[ Jun had always feared someone else becoming more important to Hiyori or Hiyori finding worth in someone new. Dealing with these feelings of jealousy hadn't been easy, but he had tried to be as transparent as possible when they first talked after Hiyori's nightmare. Jealousy was something Jun struggled with, as he was always afraid it would show in the ugliest of ways, just as it had during Wonder Game.
However, they now had the most important thing in their relationship: trust. Perhaps Jun knew no one would attend to Hiyori's needs the way he did, which provided added reassurance that Hiyori would never look elsewhere. At first with Monika, it had been difficult, as Jun hadn't truly understood what she wanted from him. The naivety certainly was something until he finally realised the truth. Had Jun felt awful for the way he treated her? Sure he did. After coming clean about his and Hiyori's relationship, it wasn't the prettiest of sights.
But there was no risk of someone stealing Jun away now. He was far too loyal and loving, with Hiyori constantly on his mind, even if he didn't always outwardly express it.
But Leona's interest in both of them seems rather tempting. In Jun's eyes, it has to be both of them or nothing. ]
Well, I'd say you're pretty bad at keeping secrets.
[ Secrets which hardly matter in the scheme of things. ]
Still don't know how your "Aura" thing works, but sayin' one thing and meaning another sounds pretty messed up. Can't say you want someone and then say you wanna cuddle 'em instead! That sorta thing might give someone the wrong idea, y'know~?
[ Jun's words seem to come from a place of experience. When he came "clean" and expressed his desire for Hiyori that day, it was a place of genuine want.

[ Though Jun's surprisingly open to it, he'd only go along if it made Hiyori happy, too. There's little cause for concern, as Leona could never sever Eve's unbreakable bond. But on the other hand, Leona may be the sole person with whom Jun feels comfortable enough to "perform" at his best.
Besides, Leona would never spread malicious rumours about Eve to the public. Jun's almost certain of that. And if strange gossip were somehow to surface? They could vehemently deny said gossip with ease. ]

It might just be that you've gotten better at reading me. I know we were already "two souls in one" back home, but I do think living together in such close quarters for such a long time has brought us even closer. Not to mention all our other intimacies.
[In truth, he hasn't always been forthcoming. He didn't tell Jun what the wing on his suit tattoo symbolized. Because, well, he didn't want to tell him. Didn't tell him what he heard from Jin Mingming, either, until it gave him a nightmare and he woke up clinging to Jun and crying. It's been a long and difficult road towards that kind of honesty. But he can at least say there's nothing he's keeping from Jun on purpose nowadays. It makes sense, doesn't it? This little room is our "world of two," after all.
[In a way, it's sad how much their world has narrowed down. Without Nagisa, Ibara or their other friends, they've only had each other to rely on. But he smiles anyway, even through the sadness, because it is nice to feel like they've gotten closer to each other's hearts. Like they really are "two souls in one." There are no more secrets between them, and that includes his love for Jun: it's open and obvious, showing in the way he smiles warmly, his gaze hopelessly soft and affectionate.
Though his warm and fuzzy feelings don't stop him from teasing Jun as usual. They never do.]
Mhm. That's exactly right! Jun-kun already understands me a lot, but he can always work harder to understand me even more! ♪

He doesn't say it, but he does want to understand Jun's feelings too. Understand them and accept them, even when they disagree. So, he's curious to know what Jun wants from all this, along with what he doesn't want. Whatever Jun says, he'll do his best to accommodate it, whether that means letting Leona touch Jun or keeping certain things off-limits.
But then he's not being very forthcoming about his own wants, is he? Jun calls him out on that, asking "Is this you telling me what you want~?" and Hiyori bites his lip, his blush blooming brighter on his cheeks. Jun is right, of course. He does want to give their special guest a pleasant dream. But by making this all about what Leona wants, it's a way to avoid admitting what he wants.
... or maybe a way of secretly indulging what he wants, without having to admit that's what he's doing. Jun called him out on that, too, just now.
There's no need for secrecy. The person standing in front of him is Jun-kun: his partner through thick and thin, who won't ever abandon him. Even if he confessed to all his most embarrassing desires and fantasies, Jun-kun wouldn't reject him. Would he? No, of course he wouldn't. His selfishness, his exhausting tendencies, his possessive thoughts: Jun-kun knows about all those things and accepted him anyway.

If he's a true fan, maybe he likes all your different sides. And if that case, it probably wouldn't hurt to show him a well-rounded version of you. And if Jun-kun likes being told what to do, I wouldn't want to deny you that pleasure, either.

Alright. I've made a decision! Just for one night, I'm fine with Leona-kun putting his big, strong hands on us. Although I do want to make one thing clear: just because he's bigger than us, he's a prince, and he's a lion doesn't mean he can overtake us. All those things might be true, but it's also true that there's one of him and two of us! Which means we might be able to overwhelm him, no? That's what I meant by leaving him "speechless."
